TRANSMISSION LAB / 001
Signal/Drift.
Live voices, caught in passing. Cut into fragments, rearranged with static, and sent back into the air.
Everywhere, all at once.
Choose which stations feed the rolling buffers. Only sources with usable audio enter the mix.
No sources here yet. Discover a station to start building the mix.
Search the open Radio Browser directory, or add five unexpected voices.
Add your own stream URL
Use an HTTPS MP3/AAC stream or an HLS .m3u8 URL that permits cross-origin playback.
IMPORTANT /Some stations block browser audio capture even when their stream plays elsewhere. Unavailable inputs are skipped automatically. Learn why.
An accident of the air.
Signal Drift listens to enabled live stations and keeps the most recent 16 seconds of each one in a private, in-browser audio buffer. It waits for up to four voices, then pulls little pieces from the buffers, layers them, and synthesizes hiss, crackles, sweeps, and blips. Nothing is uploaded or saved.
Browsers can only read a station's sound when its stream permits cross-origin access. The open Radio Browser directory finds stations, but cannot grant permission to record them. A blocked, offline, or unsupported station is left out of the mix; try another stream or add a CORS-enabled URL.
